Press Hit Play is a four-member boy group under Evosound. Original as six, they debuted with their first single "WIN" on August 6, 2021.
Career[]
Press Hit Play used to be a Kpop cover group. SB19 Pablo used to be a member of the cover group. Prio some member experience in the entertainment industry. J.P Soliva and Yukito were former trainees of RBW Entertainment. J.P had also trained in ShowBT Entertainment. JP, SB19 members, and YARA members used to be members of NARRA; ShowBT Entertainment's Musical Gala Team.
2020[]
PHP began as a cover group uploading various content. The group was originally formed in 2018 but disbanded, and was re-debuted in the year 2021 when they released their first album, PHP The Pre-Debut Series, composed of 7 tracks.
2021 Pre-debut, Official debut[]
On June 28 PHP shared a post on social media, and a few days later it continued to share posts from evosound's account on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook etc., here they also revealed their agency, pre- debut single at debut date. On July 2, 2021, PHP changed their name on social media and fans were surprised when their name suddenly changed into Press Hit Play, so they predicted that their group name would not be PHP but Press Hit Play. On July 16, 2021 they released a first pre-debut single "Galakbay" and a pre-debut single album "PHP" containing three track including the song Galakbay on the said pre-debut single album.[1]
On August 6, 2021 Press Hit Play officially debuted with the single "WIN" first released its audio on music services and platforms and later released their first Music Video WIN on Press Hit Play's Vevo Channel on YouTube.[2]
2022: First official comeback, Yukito and Zi.O's departure from the group, "Sambit" and "Forever Young"[]
On January 21, the group made their first official comeback after releasing their pre-debut singles such as "Adlaw", "Yuno" and Marilag". On the same day the group premieres their official come back music video "Tell Me" on Press Hit Play Official VEVO channel at 7PM (PHT).[3]
On April 25, 2022 it was announced that Yukito was leaving the group, it was also said that the group would still continue as a five-member group and would release a new comeback single this year. Zi.O left the group in July 13 in pursuit of his well-being, leaving the group with four members.
On September 21, the group announced that they will be releasing on September 30, their previously performed song at 2022 Tugatog Music Festival titled "Sambit".[4]
On October 14, the group announced that they will be making a comeback as a four-member group with their new single to be released on October 21 titled, "Forever Young".[5]
2023: "MNLuv", "Balaraw", "Wala Na Ba?"[]
On January 24, the group announced through their Official SNS, that they will release a new single titled, "MNLuv" which will be released on January 27.[6][7]
On February 15, the group announced that they will release a new single titled, "Balaraw". It will be released on February 17.[8]
On March 13, the group announced that they will release a new single titled, "Wala Na Ba?" which will be released on March 17.[9]
