BINI is an eight-member girl group under Star Music. Their pre-debut single "Da Coconut Nut" was released on November 20, 2020. The group officially debuted on June 4, 2021 with the single "Born to Win".

Career[]

2020: Pre-debut with "Da Coconut Nut"[]

On November 6, 2020, the group released their first ever pre-debut single and other content such as teaser release, Lyric Video, Music Video, Pre-debut documentary and more. They also trained through the Korean Training System led by MU Doctor before the pandemic and Pinoy Training system led by Direk Lauren Dyogi and Star Hunt Academy Staff. They were also introduced as a pre-debut girl group and Apperanced on ABS-CBN TV shows, and went viral with their first single "Da Coconut Nut" Performance on Its Showtime.[1]

On December 4, 2020, the group signed and became the new face in Star Magic.[2] As the group became an official artist in Star Magic, they were already preparing for their debut that was held in the following year.

2021: Official debut, second comeback, Born To Win : First album[]

In May 2021, the group announced and released teasers for their then-upcoming debut. The group is also confirmed to have their official debut in June according to ABS-CBN. [3]

On June 4, 2021, BINI released their debut single which is titled "Born To Win". Later that night at 6PM, they released the first part of their concert titled, "The Runaway.[4]

On June 11, 2021, the Music video for "Born To Win" premiered on YouTube and during The Showcase, which is the last part of BINI the Launch.[5][6]

On September 10, 2021, the group released their second single titled Kapit Lang on iTunes, Spotify, YouTube Music and Deezer. The associated music video premiered at 12AM PST.[7]

On October 14, 2021, the group released their first debut studio album titled Born To Win.[8] The album is available on both music platforms and services. On the same day, the group released their fourth single "Golden Arrow", along with it's music video on YouTube which premiered at 8PM PHT.[9]

2022: Pit A Pat, Lagi, LAGIng Tumitigil Ang Mundo, I Feel Good, Feel Good[]

In the PPOPCON 2022, the group revealed that they will have a summer single and they do not know when it will be released. On April 20, 2022, Star Music announced that the group will have their summer single. The following night, Star Music revealed the title of their summer single, “Pit A Pat”, which was released on April 29, 2022.

On June 8, 2022, the music video for "Na Na Na" was released.

On June 24, 2022, the group released their third comeback single titled “Lagi”, which would later be included as part of the Feel Good EP.

On July 24, 2022, a collaboration mix single, "LAGIng Tumitigil Ang Mundo" was released as a mash-up of "Lagi" and BGYO's Tumitigil Ang Mundo.

On September 9, 2022, the group released a promotional single for a U.S. beauty brand Maybelline titled Made For All.

On August 26, 2022, the group announced a pre-release single, I Feel Good for their second EP Feel Good which was released on September 19. The EP's pre-release single was officially released on September 22, along with it's music video.

On September 29, 2022, the Feel Good EP was officially released alongside the release of Strings' music video.[10]

On October 28, 2022, BINI held their Live Album Showcase for the Feel Good EP at the SM Skydome in North EDSA. It was originally scheduled for September 2022, but was postponed due to health-related reasons. [11]

On November 2022, the songs Huwag Munang Tayong Umuwi and Lagi were included as part of the soundtrack to the film "An Inconvenient Love", starring the DonBelle loveteam.

2023: Karera; Pantropiko[]

On September 22, 2023, BINI released their comeback single Karera as a preview for their upcoming EP to be released in November. The group performed the said song for the first time on a live stage at the Coke KAINation, which was held at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds. It's music video premiered at 9:00 PM PH Time the same day.[12]

2024: Talaarawan, First Major Concert[]

On February 2024, it was revealed that BINI would be releasing a new EP, titled "Talaarawan", which was releaed on March 8 of the said year (which coincides with International Women's Day), with the two aforementioned tracks, along with a new single titled "Salamin, Salamin", along with a music video for the said song.

In March 2024, it was revealed that the group would be staging their first concert, titled "BINIverse", which will be held on June 28, 2024 at the New Frontier Theater. Tickets for the said show sold out in less than 2 hours, resulting in the hashtag #WeWantBINIverseInAraneta to trend due to the seating capacity difference. However, instead, another night for the New Frontier concert would later be added, to be held on June 29. Also, the day before concert tickets went on sale, a third night was added for the said concert. Eventually, less than two hours later, tickets for Day 2 and 3 sold out quickly.

In March 2024, BINI, along with G22 were invited to tape a guesting in China for a survival show hosted and produced by EXO member Lay titled "Show it All". The two groups appeared in the fourth episode, and again in the fifth episode.
